The World Health Organization collects data on the causes of human death in individual countries. On this basis, a list of 10 ailments and diseases of the most lethal nature is compiled. At the forefront of this list are heart disease, accounting for 15,5 percent. all deaths in the world. In Poland, the most deadly three is a bit different.
The most deadly heart diseases in the world, in Europe and in Poland
Not cancer, not diabetes, but cardiovascular disease – they are the most common cause of death, regardless of latitude. They occupy the first place on the list in the world, in Europe and in Poland. This group includes a wide variety of diseases related to the cardiovascular system, from heart attacks, through atherosclerosis, to strokes. The full lists of the most common causes of death in the following sections vary depending on the area they cover. Poles most often die of heart disease, cancer and respiratory diseases.
The latest data on the causes of deaths in Poland come from the report of the National Institute of Public Health PZH – National Research Institute, which was published at the beginning of March this year.
