What age to give birth to the first child
Each woman decides for herself how many years to give birth to a child. Some start from psychological readiness, others from social status. However, the health of the baby and the expectant mother primarily depends on the age of the woman in labor.
To give birth before the age of 18 is much more dangerous than after 30. During this period, the girls undergo a restructuring in the body – the first menstruation comes, the hormonal background changes and the reproductive system is regulated. Due to the lack of progesterone, a hormone necessary for carrying a child, pregnancy ends in premature birth.
The young body has a hard time transferring the load on the internal organs. A pregnant girl may develop diseases of the liver, kidneys or heart against the background of toxicosis and hormonal changes. And the fetus begins to lag behind in development. This phenomenon is called fetal malnutrition.
How old is the first child?
The ideal age for the first pregnancy is 20-30 years, since the body has already formed, and age-related ailments have not yet declared themselves. However, girls are in no hurry to go on maternity leave for several reasons:
- Choosing a career over family.
- The maternal instinct did not wake up.
- Suffer from infertility.
Although the risk of developing diseases in a baby or expectant mother at this age is low, it is recommended to undergo a full examination before conception, even if the girl is not worried about anything. Some hidden diseases appear during pregnancy.
To give birth or not to give birth after 30-40 years
Women after 30 consciously plan pregnancy. They undergo examination, observe nutrition and attend consultations more often than young mothers. With this approach, the risk of complications during pregnancy is reduced. However, age affects the health of the fetus. Children with congenital disabilities are often born.
After 40 years, the structure of the genital organs in a woman changes, hormonal changes in the body occur. Some ladies have menopause. The additional load on the body affects the condition of the mother and baby. Diseases accumulated over the years appear or new ones develop. The most dangerous are gene mutations, since from them mental retardation and deviations in physical development are observed in the child.
You can become a mother of a healthy baby at a young and mature age. The main thing is to take a responsible approach to family planning. First of all, it is necessary to undergo a medical examination with your spouse and begin to lead a correct lifestyle.
