What a pain: volunteers described the sensations after the introduction of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19

The Russian vaccine against coronavirus began to be tested on volunteers. Scientists reported on how the tests are going and when the participants will be able to return home.

Elena Smolyarchuk, Director of the Center for Clinical Study of Medicines at Sechenov University, shared the first results of vaccination of volunteers with a Russian drug.

In the first hours, some volunteers had a slight increase in temperature, as well as complaints of headache. Within a day, the symptoms disappeared on their own.

“The response to the coronavirus vaccine was standard for other types of injections. All study participants are now doing well. We have met all the requirements for conducting this kind of research. The effectiveness of the vaccine will be judged by the developer of the drug, who, at the end of the study, will conduct laboratory immunological tests and give a full response, ” report university.

During the entire study, the volunteers are isolated to exclude the chance of external infection with COVID-19. They will be able to return to their usual way of life after 28 days from the date of vaccination.
