What a child should know about math and reading
In grade 1, teachers assess what the kid knows, what skills he has acquired during all this time. At 6 years old, it is not enough to count from 1 to 10 and back, the child must restore the number series, insert the missing numbers. In addition, solve simple examples of addition and subtraction within 10 units. The preschooler easily divides objects into equal parts, compares them in width, height, length, and distinguishes between geometric shapes.
By the age of 6, a preschooler should read short sentences, understand their meaning.
The child’s speech should be developed and understandable. Play word games to increase your vocabulary. To do this, name the letter, let the baby pick up as many words as possible in which it occurs at the beginning, end or middle.
When preparing your child for school, pay attention not only to his mental abilities, develop social skills. Remember that all children are different, you do not need to compare your baby with others.
