With age, the child changes not only externally, but also internally. After 4 years, his actions become more logical and consistent. A relatively large list of what a 4,5 year old child should be able to do is gradually formed. Guided by it, a mother can understand what else is worth teaching her baby.

Changes in the psychology of the child

After 4 years, the child in his behavior becomes similar to an adult. He has new feelings and emotions, he is able to understand what this or that action will lead to. A child at this age can clearly distinguish between good and bad, but first this must be explained to him by his parents.

Much that a child should be able to at 4, 5 years old depends on the role of parents in his life

By the age of 5, children experience gender differences. The girls want to do women’s affairs – to clean up and cook, and the boys play with instruments. At the same time, the formation of moral qualities takes place.

Children are rapidly developing imagination, they easily come up with new games. The task of the parents is to take part in them. In addition, it is useful to enroll the child in a theater group. Participation in the performances will bring pleasure to the baby, will be useful for the development of speech and will allow the child to relax.

Upon reaching the age of 4, a son or daughter can wash, brush their teeth, dress, use basic cutlery, doing it on their own. The main thing is to set a good example for children every day. They are also happy to help their parents.

A child can be taught a foreign language, since he is able to distinguish language from his native one. At the same time, it is important that any activity takes place in a playful way. Teaching a preschooler should be carried out unobtrusively, developing his memory and attention.

At this age, the child adequately communicates with peers, adults can conduct a dialogue with him, since he understands the meaning of what was said and knows how to answer questions.

In accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard, a child must be able to:

  • solve simple examples, read short words and memorize a small quatrain;
  • group items according to different properties;
  • collect puzzles from 10 parts;
  • understand the meaning and plots of cartoons and films;
  • use scissors to cut out the figure, and while drawing, paint over the picture without going beyond the contours;
  • remember and tell a vivid life event;
  • state your own name and surname, place of residence.

This is not the whole list of the child’s capabilities, depending on the individual characteristics, it can be more.

All developing games with a child should arouse his interest, this indicates a readiness for further development.
