A girlfriend should be a girl, and a boyfriend should be a boyfriend.

It is generally accepted that guys’ best friends are usually men, and girls have girlfriends. However, we can say with confidence that this is not always the case.

If the bride’s closest person is a male person (sibling, cousin), and vice versa, with the groom this place is occupied by a female person, let them play the appropriate roles at the wedding. After all, these are only conventions, and real friendship is higher than that.

And finally, I will say: fashion comes and goes, but traditions remain. If you do not follow the traditions, they will disappear. Everything that has been collected over the centuries and passed on from generation to generation.
