We study autumn nature, get to know the world around us: educational activities for children

Each season is beautiful in its own way. Autumn is no exception. The trees seem to be on fire, and the wind swirls flaming leaves in the air. Birds feast on berries, and the first frost adorns spider webs with the finest diamond carvings. So that your child will also notice all this beauty, tell him about autumn with the help of a variety of developmental activities. Let him feel all the beauty and poetry of this time of the year and become a little closer to nature.

Watch flocks of birds flying away, tell your child which birds are migratory. Look at different types of birds, read about them. If you can find bird feathers on the streets and in the park, try to determine to whom they belong.

Autumn poems and bright bouquets

Autumn is a great time to spend time with the whole family reading books and learning poetry. When it’s rainy outside the window, you can get together and read your favorite poems about autumn. And while walking, collect a bouquet of autumn leaves.

Wind

On the famine of the river, on the heavenly space

Then suddenly he will be naughty, like a joyful dog,

And, pulling the scarf, licks your nose.

Guess who’s responsible for the broken bush?

Let’s call him in a whisper: “W-e-eter!”

Leaves

Yellow leaves are scattered everywhere –

I will find them on the path, near the pond …

The breeze swept them away – wanted to dry them.

Now it is convenient to stir them with your foot,

Collect and send as a gift to someone

Orange-red rustling fireworks!

In order for the child to love nature and learn to appreciate it, buy a tree sapling in the market in the fall and plant it next to the house. You can even come up with a name for him. Let the baby take care of him, watch him all winter, and in the spring rejoice at how the first leaves make their way through the buds – on his own tree.

Put on your rubber boots and raincoats and go into the forest for mushrooms. Autumn is the best time for a quiet hunt. During a walk, you can acquaint your child with trees, herbs, and if you’re lucky, with forest dwellers. To make it more interesting for the kid to pick mushrooms, first read what types are: chanterelles, porcini mushrooms, mushrooms and russula. Also tell your child about toadstools and fly agarics.

And to make it even more curious, you can learn a poem about mushrooms.

Multicolored hats – balls and saucers

They hide under the leaves, as if they are laughing

Legs, like thin springs, tremble,

And the leaves are wet on the hats.

These are not plants, beetles, birds,

They are fed by underground long myceliums.

As warm rains pass over the forest,

Wait for new strangers in the clearing.

You can easily recognize them under any bush.

What are they called? That’s right, mushrooms!

To the dacha for apples and harvest

Be sure to go to the dacha or the village. Take part in the harvest with your child. Collect the last apples. At the same time, you can tell the kid about what varieties of this fruit are, which ones grow in your area, and which ones are brought, for example, from the south.

At the dacha, invite the children to do the autumn preparations with their grandmother. Let them help prepare the vegetables, wash them, or peel them.

Cooking a delicious berry pie

If you do not have the opportunity to participate in harvesting and other autumn chores, you can buy berries at the market and bake an autumn berry pie with your child.

And here is the recipe:

Autumn nights are especially dark, so stargazing is convenient at this time of year. In the evening, after a clear day, take a walk in the park with your child and look at the night sky, ideally outside the city, where the sky is clearer.

Before heading out on a night hunt, read about the stars and constellations. It will be even more interesting this way.

Show your child the natural world – so simple and so complex, mysterious, enchanting and full of mysteries. And he will definitely grow up sensitive and inquisitive, love everything that surrounds him.
