Every mother dreams of seeing her child healthy and cheerful, physically well prepared, active, dexterous and intelligent.
In the first years of life, a child learns many movements. At first, his actions are awkward, clumsy, inharmonious. Motor skills develop gradually, and each child develops them at their own pace.
To help the baby to better master his movements, it is important to create an active preparatory environment, to offer a variety of games and exercises that contribute to the development of coordination and improvement of motor skills.
The most complete development of the child will help
When choosing a sports complex for your baby, you need to take into account some features.
The thickness of the beams of the complex should be small – 19-20 mm, so that it is convenient to grasp them with a small handle, so that the baby firmly and confidently holds onto them.
The child’s fingers should almost close, clasping the crossbar of the sports complex
Do not choose a “floor-to-ceiling” wall bar for your baby, so that later (usually after the first fall from a height), hang the upper steps, limiting the child. A low complex will allow the baby to practice (boldly climb to the very top and, more importantly, get off) without the help of the mother.
The kid feels confident at a low sports complex
It is important that the sports complex is functional. It should provide the kid with the opportunity not only to climb in and out, but to make a “journey” – to climb on one side, climb over to the other, hang on the crossbar, get out the window, moving side steps along the crossbars along the complex to reach the end of the path. It is even better if your sports center provides the ability to change the position of stairs and rungs. A child will never get bored with such a complex!
Finally, don’t forget the slide and swing. These accessories, beloved by almost all children, will make the activities at the complex even more attractive and interesting for the baby. It is good if the slide can be installed at different heights and in different positions. And the swing can be hung not only on the sports complex, but, for example, in the doorway.
So you bought a sports complex
A slide is not only the most beloved, but also a very useful accessory.
If the child is active, easily accepting everything new, then, perhaps, he himself will go to the complex and immediately begin to climb. Stay close, but do not stand behind the child’s back (we will talk about insurance in more detail below).
During classes at the sports complex, the child does not need the help of his parents. If you help your child from the very beginning, he will hope for your help, which means he will be afraid to do what he has not done before. And most importantly, he will always be sure that you support him. And this is extremely dangerous! After all, if you are distracted for a split second, then the child, thinking that you are catching him, will simply let go of his hands and fall not into your arms, but on the floor.
If, from the very beginning of the class, the child is left to himself at the complex, then he will rely only on his own strength. This will teach him to plan his actions, calculate them. It will teach you how to be insured (grab the crossbar in time or put your foot in the right place in time), and not wait and rely on your mother.
Remember that your help to the child at the complex is a disservice!
The child himself will never climb where he is afraid
In order to avoid injuries during classes at the complex, in the first place, never provoke a child to do what he does not yet know how. Do not place, plant or hang it with your own hands where it is not yet able to climb on its own. When a child does something on his own, he is able to get out of this exercise on his own. And if you hung him up or put him on, then he is unlikely to be able to quickly figure out how to get out of here.
So, remember, the child should be on the complex only there (and in that position) where he can get himself.
And a few more important safety rules
– Do not use the sports center without gymnastics mats.
– Do not allow children to leave toys on gymnastic mats in areas where the child may fall (jump).
– Do not allow children to climb onto the sports complex with toys in their hands, food in their hands or in their mouths.
– A child should only be barefoot in the sports complex.
– Do not leave a small child unattended while exercising at the sports complex!
– When using the sports complex by several children at the same time, do not allow two of them to climb on the same apparatus.
By creating a suitable environment for your child from an early age for full physical development, you will ensure his health for years to come. Working out at the sports center, your child will become agile, active and strong, and this will become the key to his further success in physical development.
