This is already cause for concern. In May, this percentage was several percent, and on the worst days of the record January wave it exceeded 30.

It should be emphasized that the above numbers only refer to official cases, i.e. the results of tests performed in a hospital or health care facility. Only such items will go to the central base, and such information is reported by the Ministry of Health. Nobody knows how many infections are detected at home or diagnosed by a doctor, but not reported (there is currently no such obligation).

Pietrzak also presented data showing the number of new infections per 100. inhabitants in individual provinces. The worst situation is in the province. Mazowieckie On July 5, there were 4,67 infections per 100. residents. In the province In the Dolnośląskie, Lubelskie, Podlaskie and Pomorskie Voivodeships, this indicator exceeded 3. The average for the whole of Poland is 2,82

“We can announce the beginning of the next wave” – commented Pietrzak.
