Vegetarianism is not a weight loss aid
Vegetarianism as a life position has a right to exist. If a person is not ready to eat food of animal origin according to his convictions, then this is his choice.
Andrey Kurpatov believes that vegetarianism should not be practiced like a diet. It is a misconception that protein is a protein regardless of its origin. Protein is different from protein, and soy cannot replace meat. For the body, animal protein is much more important than plant protein. With any diet, the body secretes all types of enzymes.
If a person eats only carbohydrates, then the enzymes designed to break down proteins and fats begin to break down the gastrointestinal tract, which consists of proteins and fats. Separate nutrition leads to the fact that the body eats itself from the inside.
Cleansing the body takes place without our participation
Some people believe that enemas, laxatives and a certain set of vegetables and fruits help rid the body of toxins and toxins. This process is called bowel cleansing.
Doctor Kurpatov claims that in fact this procedure does not make sense. The intestinal walls are made up of cells that do not live long. After death, cells leave the gastrointestinal tract and make room for new ones. This process occurs constantly, so our body has already taken care of its cleaning and without our influence.

Understand the psychological cause of overeating
One of the patients, Andrei Kurpatov, explained that overeating in most cases is caused by reasons related to the psyche. It is they that encourage a person to eat in large quantities. Most often this is an internal conflict that is difficult to resolve. It generates a certain feeling of dissatisfaction with life, so a person begins to eat a lot. Thus, he tries to close the “hole” and cope with anxiety, and it is easiest to seize it.
You also need to remember that you cannot lose weight for someone, this causes a subconscious feeling of resentment. You can lose extra pounds exclusively for yourself.
Learn to be neutral about food
The therapist recommends remembering once and for all that eating is a physiological need, not a pleasure. Denying oneself a physiological need is quite easy, but giving up pleasure sooner or later still causes a breakdown. Also, you can not exhaust yourself with diets that turn you into an eternally hungry person. The body gets used to what it wants to eat. Such diets train the feeling of hunger, so their results quickly fade away.
Don’t eat after six – a hyped myth
Dr. Kurpatov also debunked one of the most popular myths. People are used to the most common statement: after 6 pm, food intake seriously affects body volume. This is an exaggeration. It’s not about time, but about the amount of food consumed. A decrease in the amount of food consumed will be followed by a decrease in weight. This can be helped by drawing up a menu for tomorrow, in which the exact amount of each meal will be prescribed. After a couple of months, lunches and dinners in certain quantities will become a habit, and the time will depend only on the person’s desire.
Eat less and move more
Andrey Kurpatov believes that there are no special secrets. The only way to lose weight is to eat less and move more. The advertised tablets and various means will not help in this matter.
“However, what does it mean to eat less? That’s about what it means. If you add just one regular slice of bread to your regular diet every day, then your weight will increase by about 5 kilograms in a year. And how will you notice it, this one piece ?! It’s the same with the movement: your work turned out to be 200 meters closer to your home – you look, in a year you find a kilogram, or, more precisely, you cannot find that this kilogram is not there. A trifle, it would seem … But how it comes out! ” – writes the psychotherapist.
It is important to remember that the causes of obesity and overweight can be different. Sometimes a person really cannot lose weight, no matter what methods he tries to do it. In such cases, we are talking about endocrine disorders, and only doctors can help to cure them. But if you feel that it is not a disorder of the body, but a lifestyle or your attitude to food, then you should thoroughly approach the issue of losing weight and find the reason for what is happening inside yourself.
