Dehydrated skin in winter is a common cause of pain. Sensitive lips

Lips, which should definitely not be licked, are exposed to chapping. Moisturized in this way, they are more vulnerable to the harmful effects of frost. In addition, saliva has acidic enzymes that are designed to facilitate the decomposition of food, so it is not completely indifferent to our lips. It would be advisable to spread a greasy cream or lipstick with beeswax on them at least once an hour. A mask made of natural honey will have a beneficial effect on the condition of the lips.

Choosing a face cream

Use a moisturizer during the day to moisturize your skin. When choosing a cream in a drugstore, look for one that contains beeswax, petroleum jelly, paraffin or olive oil. Thanks to them, we will protect the hydrolipid coat of the skin and the stratum corneum, which are particularly at risk of drying out, against water loss. People with dry skin can use cosmetics dedicated to children, while people with oily skin should look for a light cosmetic or apply a smaller amount of cream on the face. If we spend time outside in winter, even walking to work, choose a preparation with a sunscreen. For townspeople, a factor up to 15 is enough, while when skiing on a slope with fair skin, let’s reach for SPF 50, and with any other shade, SPF 30 is enough.

At night, use filter-free cosmetics alternately with those that protect against wrinkles, or have been developed according to our skin. Let the skin be properly oxygenated and renewed during sleep. Therefore, let’s reach for creams with substances that scavenge free radicals, such as vitamin C.

Time for hands!

Winter is a bad time for lightweight moisturizers. We should definitely focus on cosmetics with shea butter and pharmacy ointments. Wear gloves whenever you go outdoors, as once formed frostbite reappears every winter. In the case of visible cracks that bleed several times a day, spread a mixture of milk, butter and castor oil on your hands.
