We bake whitefish in the oven: a recipe. Video

Fish connoisseurs know that whitefish is in no way inferior to noble trout in its taste. It works especially well in the oven, where it can be cooked in several ways.

Whitefish recipe in the oven

In order to cook fish according to this recipe, take:

  • 2 whitefish carcasses weighing 250-300 g each
  • 1 onion
  • 50 g cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • foil

Clean the fish, gut, cut off the fins, leaving the head in place. With it, the carcass will look more impressive when served. Rinse the fish and dry the outside and inside with a paper towel. Peel the onion, cut into half rings.

Before baking the whitefish, salt the carcass outside and inside, put half a ring of onion and a couple of slices of cheese inside the belly. Place the fish on the foil and wrap it so that it is sealed in it. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and bake the fish for half an hour.

When serving, unfold the foil and place a couple of lemon slices on top of each fish: its juice will best set off the delicate taste of the fish.

Whitefish recipe with vegetables and mushrooms

For this dish, take:

  • 1 whitefish carcass weighing at least 400 g
  • 20 g hard cheese
  • half an onion
  • half carrots
  • 100 g mushrooms
  • salt
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Rinse the mushrooms and cut into pieces, chop the carrots and onions into pieces. Fry them in vegetable oil until golden brown and wait for the filling to cool. Instead of champignons, you can use other mushrooms at hand.

Before baking the whitefish, peel and rinse the fish, preparing the belly for stuffing. Mix vegetables and mushrooms with grated cheese and stuff the fish with them, holding the edges of the belly with toothpicks. If this does not work, you can sew up the abdomen, but do not forget to remove the thread when serving the fish.

The oven must be preheated to help shorten the cooking time. Bake the fish in a greased pan at 180 ° C for 30–40 minutes.

Whitefish baked on a pillow of onions

Take:

  • 1 whitefish carcass weighing 0,5 kg
  • 50 g of olive oil
  • 3 onion head
  • salt, marjoram, dill, black pepper to taste

Prepare the fish by cleaning and washing it. Peel the onion and cut into rings about 0,5 cm thick. Take an oven dish, grease it with vegetable oil, make a pillow of onions in it, on which put whitefish, salted and peppercorns.

Sprinkle the marjoram on top of the carcass, add a few sprigs of dill and sprinkle with vegetable oil. Bake the whitefish in a hot oven for about an hour. For a more original flavor, mix olive oil with a tablespoon of lemon juice.
