Wday tests: SPA drip for real body detox

Olga Alymova, editor of the “Beauty and Health” column, says that detox is not only juice and smoothies.

– After a long winter and off-season, the mood was at zero. Every spring, all sorts of magazines write about the spring update and advise you to start with nutrition, sleep and exercise – as if it will help you feel better. As for me, such protracted processes require emotional strength and patience – and I wanted an instant rise. It was decided to act radically – a detox mask for the whole body plus a dropper with three peptides. Of course, it was scary – especially at first, when it was injected, and the sensations were quite vivid – but after a few minutes the body calms down and euphoria sets in. Well, first things first.

I went to the Triple Detox procedure at the Fifth Element anti-aging clinic – it is located on the lower floor of the Ritz Carlton, and you don’t have to write any further – it is on the level. Everyone who comes to the clinic reports to the diagnostician about his condition and past illnesses – the anamnesis is really complete. On its basis, procedures are prescribed – my dropper is designed to neutralize the jetlag due to a recent business trip and to establish sleep, and a mask based on a horse placenta (no horse was harmed, I asked) is to make the pores work actively, removing excess fluid from the body.

Detox dropper consists of saline and tripeptide (a union of three amino acids: glycine, cysteine, glutamic acid). Together they restore the protective functions of the liver (it will greatly help those who do not tolerate alcohol), stimulate the immune system and remove toxins from the blood.

The dropper should neutralize heavy metal salts, prevent the formation of atherosclerosis, slow down aging, improve thinking processes and coordination – well, let’s check it out.

Reality: at the clinic I was met by a dermatocosmetologist and an antiaging medicine specialist Lyudmila Vladimirovna Suvorina. She asked about all the ailments and advised to take tests – then you can take the appointment with you and donate blood in any clinic. I was assigned to check the hormones and the condition of the adrenal glands, as well as the level of iron. Further, the body volumes are carefully measured and asked what they would like to improve – this is a standard procedure – and even the size of the wrist and the ratio of the length of the arms and legs are measured – what if you want to improve something there too?

Then a mask is applied to the body with massage movements in another room. Along the way, the masseur works out the “clamps” that are standard for an office worker – the collar zone and the upper spine. The mask contains placenta, hyaluronic acid, arnica, chamomile and pine cone extract and heats up noticeably (spoiler: at the end of the procedure it really heats up). If you have ever been on anti-cellulite body wraps, you will understand.

Between doctors’ visits, I manage to take a selfie in the mirror – I admired the abstract portrait behind during the drip. He’s funny

Do not touch your eyes while wearing a mask – the components responsible for warming up can be harmful to the mucous membrane. Therefore, my hands are “swaddled” along with the body, leaving the right one for the dropper.

It is not painful at all, but you will have to lie for about half an hour, waiting for all the solution to pass through the tubes. It is not painful or scary (although at first, of course, there was a fright). You need to wash off the mask without the help of soap – it continues to work even when you get dressed and leave the clinic.

When the mask is washed off, heat and cold pass through the body at the same time – this is very invigorating, right up to goose bumps. I felt the first effect when I got out of the shower – I didn’t feel the heaviness of the working week in my legs, and my hands moved freely. Lightness settled in the body and, what is the strangest, in the head too. It survived until the evening and all weekend – after sleeping for about three days I woke up not broken, as usual, but full of energy (I hope this is still a detox, not May holidays).

At the end of the procedure, you need to drink a cocktail of dried fruits in the lobby of the clinic – it is completely natural and tastes like a compote from high school. It is designed to complete the procedure and improve digestion.

I liked the feeling that I would describe as harmony (of course, it sounds pretentious, but it is). The procedure clearly pulls for a small reboot – when everything is enough and it seems that there is no strength, it will bring both the body and the brain back to life in a couple of hours. It shakes very much – this is not a monotonous massage for two hours, after which fluidity and smoothness are felt in the body, but rather a local storm that gives both goosebumps and lightness in the legs.

Conclusion: I would definitely advise the fans of the classic detox to try the drip and compare the sensations. Yes, this is not the most natural way to cleanse the body, but rather more technological and suitable for a big city.

The mask had a good effect on the skin – I felt a pleasant tone for a couple of days, and the skin was soft, smooth and nourished.

Evaluation: 9,5 out of 10 (I liked everything, but impressionable persons will have to overcome the dropper stereotypes and persuade themselves – even I persuaded myself to take this procedure for a week)
