Reality: At first glance, mascara is attracted by the unique brush. When applied, there are no problems, but the mascara sticks a little lashes. This problem occurs with many products: one or two weeks of using mascara will pass, and the product becomes harder, ceasing to glue the cilia. During the day, the mascara behaved perfectly, without causing discomfort and without crumbling. At the end of the day, I deliberately began to wash my face with water, without rinsing off the mascara – the product did not flow. However, the waterproof makeup remover washed off with one touch.

– I am neutral towards the Clinique brand. For me, this is high-quality and uncomplicated cosmetics, which I have trusted for a very long time. I’ve always loved the brand’s mascaras, but the High Impact Waterproof Mascara left me with mixed feelings.

Appearance: classic tube in a light blue shade. The brush, which, by the way, is convenient to hold in the hand, looks neat, without excess coloring substance.

Expectations: according to the description, the mascara should give volume and length to the eyelashes, while leaving them soft and fluffy. In addition, the annotation promised unprecedented durability: rain, tears, sweat and water – all this does not affect the coating. I would like to pay special attention to the fact that the manufacturer stated that the product does not crumble under water of any temperature.

Result: I want to note right away that I do not like waterproof mascaras. The thought that I will have to tear something off my eyelashes or use micellar water, which I physically cannot stand, plunges me into panic. But still she decided to experiment. Went with the High Impact Waterproof Mascara all day. She did not crumble, did not spread and did not disappear from the eyelashes, for which she was a big plus. On my eyelashes, the volume after mascara was practically not noticeable, but the length appeared instantly.

The effect is very natural. However, during the day, the eyelashes stuck together and did not look very pretty. In the evening I tried to wash off the mascara with a gel for washing, which usually removes makeup perfectly, but, unfortunately, it did not completely wash off even after two latherings. At the same time, it crumbled ugly under the lower eyelid. I suppose that micellar water could hardly cope with this product. I will hardly buy a second tube: not because the mascara is bad, but because waterproof products are clearly not for me.

– To begin with, I try not to use waterproof mascara in everyday life. Once upon a time I had a sad experience, so now I try not to experiment. However, when I got to test a product of the MAC brand, with whose cosmetic lines I have been familiar for a long time, I decided to take a chance again.

Appearance: it is a double mascara, respectively, with two caps, which, as I learned later, regulate the amount of funds on the brush. If, for example, you unscrew the top cap and paint over your eyelashes with this brush, then they will look very natural. For evening make-up, use a second cap with a wider brush that helps paint over each lash, creating a sense of volume. In fact, it won me over, I had never met anything like it before.

Expectations: the kind you’d expect from a water-resistant mascara. That is, the product will remain on the eyelashes for a long time and no natural (or artificial) cataclysms will prevent the make-up from looking perfect.

Reality: mascara coped with its task by 200%. Not only did she stay on my eyelashes all day long without even crumbling, but she still didn’t leave me the next day. The product turned out to be not so easy to wash off – no tonics and long-lasting makeup removers helped. The rest of the product is simply wonderful – a deep-charcoal color, perfectly lengthens the eyelashes, giving them additional volume and, which is very important for me, does not cause allergies. However, there is also a minus – mascara dries very quickly and, as I already wrote, is difficult to wash off.

Rating: solid 9 for endurance.

Appearance: regular plastic case in bright blue. Inside there is a comfortable silicone brush, I love those.

Expectations: in an instant, the fine and fluid texture of the mascara perfectly lengthens lashes without clumping. The water-resistant formula provides perfect eye makeup. With almond proteins for flawless lash coloring.

Reality: mascara gives the most natural effect. Does not lengthen, does not create additional volume, just natural, slightly blacker than my own, eyelashes are obtained. In principle, I am not a fan of drama, and this effect suits me, it paints over and separates it really well. But the minus, which I am not ready to forgive, is that it crumbles and spreads out by the middle of the day. Moreover, according to my recollections, many waterproof mascaras behaved this way, which is why I happily preferred heat-resistant mascaras to them when they appeared on the market.

Removing mascara from eyelashes is quite simple if you use a hydrophilic oil or any oil-based wash.

– Never had a great love for waterproof mascara. I do not really like how it is applied, and it is problematic to wash off. However, this happened to be tested. Bell mascara is quite cheap, it does not cost more than 350 rubles.

Appearance: the blue tube with beautiful patterns is very attractive. The manufacturer also pleased with the brush, it is silicone, with hard bristles, small, it is very convenient to dye the eyelashes at the roots, thereby lifting them up.

Expectations: the manufacturer claims that Glam Sexy Mascara is a mascara with a stage effect of volume. After application, I expected to see long, thick, not glued eyelashes.

Composition: main ingredients: water, olive oil, apricot kernel powder, apple extract, papaya extract, vitamin E, cocoa powder.

Reality: Bell Glam Sexy Mascara was perfect for my lashes. She perfectly separates the cilia, does not confuse them, the tips remain sharp. There is no gluing effect. It gives a small volume and perfectly lengthens. The mascara is declared by the manufacturer as a mascara with a stage effect of volume. I can’t say that the volume amazed me so much, but the eyelashes with this mascara become very expressive and elongated, that’s for sure!

Another big plus of this mascara is that it does not crumble at all, does not smear throughout the day. It is also washed off without any problems by any means.

– Waterproof mascara for me is not a purchase among the main ones: the main thing is not to crumble during the day, but I do not have to pass the test with water. The more interesting it was to test it.

Expectations: its name alone – Smoky Extravagant – promises rich black lashes. Marketers prone to overuse epithets described it as “an ultra-durable, highly pigmented mascara that gives lashes exceptional volume, lengthening and curling effect.” At the same time, of course, it should neither leak nor crumble under any circumstances. I divided the promises by two, and all the same it turned out that the results should be very impressive to me.

Reality: at first I was confused by the brush – it seemed massive. But in fact, it is very convenient: it paints over every eyelash perfectly, never touching anything or getting dirty anywhere. This mascara lengthens really well, doesn’t stick. But she has problems with color saturation. Aqua Smoky Extravagant does not create a smoky effect at all, that is, it will not work for an evening look, but you can safely use it for daytime makeup.

But let’s talk about the main thing! It happened – quite by accident! – that I had the opportunity to test the water resistance of Make Up Forever twice in the most extreme conditions. At first I forgot to wash off my makeup in front of the pool. I realized this already at home, looking in the mirror. As if she hadn’t dived for an hour! And the next day I was cutting onions. Smearing tears on my cheeks, I thought that now I certainly looked like a panda, and … it was so. But the eyeliner leaked! The mascara was glued on. Why, I couldn’t even wash it off with my cleanser, which promised to remove long-lasting make-up. Therefore, if you are looking for a truly waterproof and quality mascara, Aqua Smoky Extravagant is a great option.

Rating: 9 out of 10. I took one point just for insufficient brightness.

The mascara does not spread or crumble during the day, but the best part is that it can be easily removed with makeup removers. It does not have a strong odor and does not cause irritation. In a word, a solid five!

Expectations: on the official Maybelline website, the description for the mascara says: Rocket Waterproof is eight times thicker, smoother lashes.

Reality: this mascara really adds volume and lengthens, but, fortunately, not eight times, but one and a half times. Eyelashes look very natural. I also like the rich black pigment, which, with good staining at the roots, creates an eyeliner effect. Rocket Waterproof’s durability is excellent too. Even during a shower without an umbrella, it does not spread.
