Classic watermelon liqueur

In this recipe, we need watermelon juice, squeezing it out will not be difficult.

First, cut the watermelon, cut off the skin and remove the seeds. Then we cut the pulp into small pieces and pass it through a juicer or squeeze the juice with gauze.

Ingredients

  1. Watermelon juice – 600 ml

  2. Sugars – 150 g

  3. Vodka – 400 ml

  4. Vanilla sugar – 20 g

Method of preparation

  1. First we need to evaporate the watermelon juice to make it more concentrated. To do this, mix the juice with granulated sugar in a saucepan and cook the syrup over low heat for 15 minutes (do not bring to a boil and stir constantly).

  2. Now pour alcohol into a glass container, add vanilla sugar and, at the very end, cooled watermelon syrup.

  3. Mix thoroughly and put the container in a cool place (basement or refrigerator) for 10-15 days to stabilize the taste. Be sure to shake the liquor daily.

  4. After infusion, the drink must be filtered and poured into a glass bottle.

  5. It is recommended to use ready-made watermelon liqueur chilled. Store no more than 4 years in the refrigerator or cellar.

Fragrant watermelon liqueur with cactus juice

Cactus juice can be bought at a supermarket, an online store, or you can make it yourself from prickly pear fruit.

It is important to consider that this is not an easy process, but if you did not manage to find this secret ingredient, then you can do without it.

Ingredients

  1. Ripe large watermelon – about 7-8 kg

  2. Cactus juice – 2 liters

  3. Sugar – 750-1,250 kg (the amount depends on the sweetness of the watermelon)

  4. Lemon – 4 pcs.

  5. Food alcohol (70 degrees) – 2 l

Method of preparation

  1. It is necessary to squeeze the juice from the watermelon.

  2. In a saucepan, mix three types of juice (watermelon, lemon and cactus) and add 750 g of granulated sugar, if the liquid is not sweet enough, then increase its amount.

  3. We repeat point 1 from the first recipe.

  4. Then, in a container of a suitable volume, mix the alcohol base and the cooled syrup. Stir and let it brew for about 3 weeks in a dark and cool place. In case of precipitation, the liquor must be shaken.

  5. After infusion, the finished drink is filtered and bottled.

  6. An extract is welcome.

Watermelon liqueur on cognac

In the absence of cognac, you can use any other strong alcohol: odorless moonshine, vodka, rum, brandy or whiskey.

Ingredients

  1. Ripe watermelon pulp – 2 kg

  2. Cognac – 1 l

  3. Granulated sugar – 350 g

Method of preparation

  1. We cut the prepared pulp into cubes, put it in a glass container, pour brandy and leave it for 10 days in a dark and warm place.

  2. Then we pour the infusion into another container, and fill the pulp with sugar and leave it for a week in a sunny place.

  3. After the formation of watermelon syrup, it must be drained and mixed with tincture. Pour in the syrup in small portions and try not to over-sweeten the drink.

  4. After filtering, we bottle the liquor and keep it in a cool place for at least a month before tasting.

Spicy watermelon liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Ripe watermelon pulp – 500 g

  2. Hot jalapeno pepper – 1 medium sized pod

  3. Food alcohol (60 degrees) – 350 ml

  4. Sugar syrup – 250-350 ml

Method of preparation

  1. We cut the pepper into rings, put it in a glass container along with the seeds and fill it with an alcohol base. A day later, you need to take a sample. If the tincture is spicy, then we remove all the pepper, and if not, then we extend the infusion time for another 12 hours.

  2. Then add the chopped pulp of watermelon to the burning tincture and let it brew in a dark place for about 1 week.

  3. After the specified time, the drink must be filtered and sugar syrup added to taste.

  4. Now pour the savory watermelon liqueur into a bottle and keep it in a cool place for another 2-3 weeks. And you can start tasting.

Since it is winter outside and the watermelon season will not start soon, you can taste this drink by buying a bottle in the nearest supermarket. And then compare it with the home version, which you will definitely like a lot more.
