The Chief Sanitary Inspector issued a warning against a new drug that appeared in Poland. Etazen belongs to the group of opioids and is up to 60 times more powerful than morphine. The drug can kill you.

Etazen: a dangerous drug in Poland

The Sanitary Inspectorate reported that etazene, a new, very dangerous opioid drug, has recently been detected in Poland for the first time. It was offered in Łódź as an afterburner, as a gray powder with a high concentration (pure substance).

This drug is especially dangerous because of its toxic properties and high potency.

Etazen: the effects of taking

“It is assumed to be 60 times more potent than morphine,” points out the GIS.

He further describes the reaction after taking this afterburner. The opioid-drugged person is usually confused and drowsy, has disturbed consciousness, narrow pinpoint pupils, slow heart rate (bradycardia), low blood pressure, life-threatening respiratory disturbance. Or, she may stop breathing completely and eventually die.

Taking etazan – first aid

The GIS instructs such a person that, as part of pre-medical assistance, the respiratory tract should be unblocked, placed in a safe position and an ambulance should be called (tel. 112). Paramedics should protect the respiratory function and immediately administer a specific antidote (naloxone), and then transport to the nearest hospital.

GIS also reports that the drug is sold as tablets, powders, herbal or plastic mixtures, as well as smoking liquids and nasal sprays. It often changes the composition and concentration. People who use it are usually unaware of it, which makes it difficult or even impossible to provide medical assistance that saves health and life.
