Vyatich

The Russian brand “Vyatich” belongs to one of the few independent brewing companies with production facilities in the city of Kirov. The peculiarity of the Vyatka brewery is a modern technological process on equipment from Germany, the Czech Republic, Denmark and the traditional beer recipe according to the law of 1516 “Reinheitsgebot”, which prescribed the use of only three components: hops, barley malt and water. Today, the plant produces 27 unique, craft, author’s, licensed varieties of intoxicating drink, supplied to many regions of Russia, neighboring countries, China.

Historical reference. In March 1903, the “Association of the Vyatka Brewery” was founded, which was composed by K. O. Schneider and G. N. Shmeleva. A subject of the Duchy of Saxe-Meiningen set to work zealously, and the first thing he did was to find the source of the Living Gift water, which is still used today. By 1912, the partnership became the supplier of the Imperial Court, and in 1914 the plant produced 16 beers.

With the outbreak of the First World War, the brewery was stopped, and the founder himself was forced to return to his homeland in 1918. Beer production at the nationalized plant resumed only in 1922, but the traditions of brewing were preserved, since from the day of its foundation and until 1950, Emil Iosifovich Vikingeyzer remained the main brewer.

The modern history of the brand begins in 1993, when OJSC Vyatich was registered. A few years later, a large-scale modernization began. German equipment was installed at the plant:

  • bottling in glass and PET bottles Krones;
  • Schenk combifilters;
  • wort cooling heat exchangers and Alfa laval separators;
  • SIP station and 120 t Ziemann tanks;
  • blow molding machine for PET bottles SMF;
  • Gernep labeller.

The company uses a bottling line and a Nate bottle washing machine (Czech Republic), a Dimac packer (Italy), and other equipment from European manufacturers. In 2002, Vyatich was awarded the main prize “Golden Sadko” at the representative forum “Beer Industry-2002”.
