On April 6, the all-Russian charitable action “World without Tears” was first held at the Kaluga Regional Clinical Children’s Hospital.
As part of a charitable program, VTB Bank financed the purchase of an ARC400 electrosurgical device with a vessel ligation function. The cost of the equipment was 1 rubles. Tatyana Chernyakova, Deputy Head of the Department of Medical Assistance to Children and the Obstetrics Service of the Ministry of Health of the Kaluga Region, as well as Director of the Directorate of VTB Bank for the Kaluga and Tula Regions, Mikhail Polishchuk, came to the solemn presentation of the gift certificate.
“Traditions of charity and mercy must be in our society. It is important for us that within the framework of the “World without Tears” campaign, medical institutions receive exactly the equipment that they themselves choose and which they need most. I would like to thank the representatives of VTB Bank for their contribution to our common cause, for their help in organizing assistance to our children at a higher level, ”Tatyana Chernyakova stressed.
During a press conference, Viktor Mikhailov, the chief physician of the Kaluga Regional Clinical Children’s Hospital, spoke about what kind of treatment thanks to the new electrosurgical apparatus children in Kaluga will now be able to receive: “The last modernization of our surgical service was carried out 5 years ago. Therefore, surgeons needed precisely such modern medical technology that allows making an incision with an electric current with minimal blood loss, which is especially important for small patients. I confess that this electrosurgical device was just being tested in our hospital, and we know all its advantages very well. This is the latest model from Germany, which is not yet available in Kaluga hospitals. The device is able to recognize any plug-in instrument, be it a scalpel or tweezers. In addition, it is possible to purchase and connect additional Russian equipment to it, which significantly increases its efficiency. Now our surgeons will be able to perform the most complex and delicate procedures: operations on brain tumors, orthopedic and open surgery. “
Alexander Erofeev, Head of Sponsorship and Client Events, Vice President of VTB Bank, spoke about the campaign itself: “For 15 years we have been helping children’s hospitals from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok in purchasing the necessary medical equipment. This year, VTB has allocated more than 40 million rubles to provide financial assistance to healthcare institutions. The World Without Tears is coming to Kaluga for the first time – to help the little patients of the Kaluga Regional Clinical Children’s Hospital to recover as soon as possible. We hope that we will continue to cooperate in the field of healthcare support, because VTB’s social policy is an integral part of the Bank’s development strategy. “
On this day, according to tradition, not only the hospital received a gift, but also all small patients. Characters of the legendary TV show “Good night, kids!” Together with Filia, Stepashka and their senior friend, Honored Artist of Russia Natalia Golubentseva, the guys went in search of treasures. Children were waiting for incredible tricks from the famous Mad Hatter, clever riddles and funny contests. After the treasured chest was opened, each kid received a personal “chest” with a drawing kit as a gift.
