Indications

Intravenous administration of the preparation is indicated in the treatment or prevention of postoperative pain in patients remaining in hospital treatment.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, active gastric and / or duodenal ulcer disease, gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, severe renal, hepatic or heart failure, third trimester of pregnancy.

Do not use the preparation in breastfeeding women.

It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents.

Dosage

Adults:

The preparation should not be administered for more than 2 days. After this time, treatment can be continued with the drug in the form of suppositories or tablets.

Intramuscular injection:

Typically 75 mg daily by deep intramuscular injection in the upper outer quadrant of the buttock. In severe cases, your doctor may increase the dose to 2 injections of 75 mg, several hours apart (one injection in each buttock). He can also administer 1 ampoule of 75 mg in combination with another form of the drug (suppositories, tablets), not exceeding a dose of 150 mg per day. The maximum total daily dose is 150 mg.

Migraine attacks: initially 75 mg intramuscularly as soon as possible; if necessary, additional suppositories can be used on the same day in a dose of up to 100 mg. The total dose on the first day should not exceed 175 mg.

Intravenous applications:

The preparation must not be administered as a short-term injection. The preparation, after appropriate dilution, should be administered as an intravenous infusion. For the treatment of moderate to severe post-operative pain, 75 mg is administered as an intravenous infusion over 30–120 minutes. If necessary, the doctor may repeat the dose after a few hours; do not exceed 150 mg per day.

In the prophylaxis of postoperative pain, the initial dose is 25–50 mg after surgery, as an intravenous infusion lasting 15–60 minutes, then the drug is given as a continuous infusion of about 5 mg per hour, up to a maximum dose of 150 mg per day.
