Voltaren Emulgel is a drug used in rheumatology and sports medicine with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. The preparation affects the musculoskeletal system. It is available as an over-the-counter gel.

Indications for use of the drug Voltaren Emulgel
- post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints (e.g. caused by sprains, strains or bruises),
- back pain
- limited inflammation of soft tissues (e.g. tendinitis or “tennis elbow”),
- limited and mild forms of arthritis. Gently rub in 3-4 times a day, do not use for more than 14-21 days.
Voltaren Emulgel and contraindications and warnings
- hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
- asthma attacks
- hives
- acute rhinitis caused by acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,
- age: it is not recommended to administer the preparation to children under 12 years of age,
- do not use in the third trimester of pregnancy.
- The preparation is for external use only, for use on the skin.
- Avoid contact of Voltaren Emulgel with the eyes and mucous membranes.
- Do not use on damaged skin surface.
- If the symptoms persist or worsen after 7 days of using the preparation, a medical consultation is recommended.
- Do not use for more than 14 days in the case of post-traumatic conditions or inflammation of soft tissue and 21 days in the case of inflammation of the joints.
- Treatment should be discontinued if application site irritation occurs.
- Systemic side effects may occur in case of long-term use or application to large areas of the skin surface.
- Mild and transient skin symptoms at the application site may occur (rash, eczema, erythema, dermatitis [including contact dermatitis]).
- Very rare: lumpy rash, hypersensitivity, angioedema, asthma, photosensitivity reactions.
