Volare liqueur: overview of types + 7 cocktail recipes

Italian liqueurs Volare (Volare) are perhaps the most popular liqueurs in the world. Bartenders especially like to use them to prepare all kinds of cocktails. This is not surprising, since the line includes 35 liqueurs and 3 soft drinks (Grenadine, Lime juice, Simple syrup).

Brand history

The production of Volare liqueurs was launched in 2006. And the history of the company began in 1868 in Asiago, a small town in Veneto Prealps. The young pharmacist Giovan Battista Rossi prepared and sold various elixirs. And then one day he came up with a recipe for an elixir on the bark of cinchona and called it Chino Rossi.

It was a success! And in 1904, Jovan received the Grand Prix de Paris award, which was the impetus for the opening of a distillery in Europe – Distilleria Rossi.

100 years later, Antiche Distillerie Riunite, owned by the Dal Toso family, has taken over this industrial heritage.

Today Antiche Distillerie Riunite is the owner of two factories: Rossi d`Asiago and Valbruna Dstillerie.

Features of Volare liqueurs

Volare is an innovative and creative range of cocktail liqueurs, made exclusively from natural and high quality ingredients.

The bottle design was developed in collaboration with the world championship winner, bartender Jamie Stephenson. And this is another of the key elements of the liquor’s success.

Since the bottle is thought out to the smallest detail, which makes the work of bartenders easier:

  1. Patented Pro-pour technology, thanks to which a professional geyser is built into the cap.

  2. Extended bottle neck with anatomical grip.

  3. Reduced bottle bottom diameter that fits perfectly into a Boston Shaker.

  4. The light weight of the bottle makes it easy to flair (juggle the bottle).

  5. The label uses an inverted inscription, which performs a presentational role.
