Vodka Nemiroff: history, overview of species + interesting facts

Nemiroff is a brand with a century and a half history, represented on 5 continents. Production begins in 1872 in the city of Nemyriv, where the largest distillery in Podolia was opened after reconstruction.

A century and a half ago, the principles that the company is successfully guided by today were formed: high quality requirements, adherence to old recipes, continuous improvement of production and the search for new facets of tastes.

Brand history and production specifics

The history of Nemiroff vodka dates back to time immemorial: even when there was no official production, the small town of Nemiroff was already famous for its distilleries. In 1872, Count Stroganov managed to unite independent producers, thanks to which the local alcoholic drink became popular throughout the country.

Soon the owner of the plant changed, and already in 1906 the level of production rose to a record high of 5 bottles per day. The main buyers of the product were Moscow, St. Petersburg, as well as some European countries.

The turning point for the company was 1992. Then all the old equipment was sent to scrap, and a new, modern plant was erected in its place.

In 2003 and 2004, the company’s turnover reached colossal levels, as reported in the British magazine Drіnks International.

And at the end of 2005, Nemiroff was recognized as one of the best vodkas in the world, capable of competing even with such brands as Absolut and Smirnoff.

Over the past 15 years, Nemiroff has received more than 70 prestigious international awards, including honors from the Chicago Beverage Tasting Institute, The Vodka Masters, San Francisco World Spirits Competition, The Superior Taste Awards, International Spirits Challenge, Mixology Taste Forum, World Drinks Award, The Global Spirits Masters International Competition, Wine Enthusiast, The London Spirits Competition, The Fifty Best.

Today, Nemiroff is represented in 80 countries of the world, is in the TOP-10 world vodka brands and TOP-3 vodka suppliers in Duty Free stores.
