Brand history and production specifics

Brand Myagkov traces its history back to 2001 – it was then that one Odessa enterprise decided to expand its product range by producing vodka according to a unique recipe. The drink had everything for a good start: modern equipment, the ability to produce colossal volumes, as well as a successful advertising campaign.

By 2004, when production volumes began to amount to millions of liters, the company’s management decided to expand the brand line: this is how Myagkov Black Currant and Myagkov Oval entered the market.

The brand continued to develop and in 2008 attracted the attention of the Russian company Synergy. The future giants of the alcohol business decided to invest part of their funds in Myagkov and did not fail: after changing the point of production and improving the quality of raw materials, the drink turned from a consumer product into premium vodka.

Types of vodka Myagkov

To date, the brand line includes 5 brands of products: four types of vodka and a unique tincture, the strength of which is 20 degrees. Below you will find a more detailed description of each drink:

  1. classical

Vodka subpremium segment. It has a rather mild taste, in which there are notes of honey.

The aroma is floral, the aftertaste is gentle, warming. It is recommended to serve with roast meat or boiled pork.

  2. Silver

A worthy example of premium vodka. The drink undergoes silver filtration, which allows you to further soften the already pleasant taste.

As in the classic version, honey notes are clearly felt in silver, complemented by a sweetish aftertaste.

The aroma is not bright, but very subtle fruity tones can be distinguished in it. In order to avoid rapid intoxication, it is recommended to use it with plentiful snacks: hot dishes or fried game.

  3. Organic

    Absolutely natural premium vodka.

The raw material for it is alcohol obtained from self-grown wheat: the company’s management strictly ensures that the fields are not treated with absolutely no chemicals.

Due to its natural origin, vodka has a rich wheat flavor with a long and pleasant aftertaste.

The aroma also has grainy notes. Served with cold appetizers or seafood.

  4. With cranberry flavor

“Myagkov” cranberry can not be called vodka in full. Rather, it is a tincture with a strength of 40 degrees, in which the gifts of the forest and the softest alcohol are extremely successfully combined.

The drink gained popularity due to the unique sweet and sour taste, characteristic only for this brand.

Gourmets recommend consuming the tincture with mushrooms fried in sour cream, pancakes, or other dishes of traditional Russian cuisine.

  5. Chile and Honey

Perhaps the most original product in the line. The strength of the drink is 20%, which is two times weaker than regular vodka.

The characteristic honey aftertaste is amplified several times, but it is paired with a pod of chili pepper, lowered into the bottle. This makes the taste of alcohol unique, adding a “thrill” to the sweet honey.

There is no unequivocal opinion about accompaniment: some recommend eating it with seafood, others with fried meat, and still others prefer to eat cheese or chocolate.

Interesting Facts

  1. At the time of its launch, vodka gained popularity almost throughout the country and even displaced such large brands as Nemiroff from the first positions in the alcohol rating. The drink made such a splash thanks to advertising: there was filmed a sincere company of men who went fishing, who took with them a couple of bottles of Myagkov.

  2. When Synergy bought the Myagkov brand, appraisers predicted an unsuccessful investment and the imminent collapse of the brand. The rationale was simple – vodka had already “become boring”, and therefore ceased to be popular. The drink was saved by improving the quality of the product and bringing it to the premium category.

  3. In order to maintain the excitement around vodka, in 2015, manufacturers decided to entice customers in a non-trivial way – a limited edition of bottles was released, on the labels of which the most successful spreads from Playboy magazine over the past fifty years were printed.
