Vodka Morosha, what you need to know + types

Morosha – vodka, which is produced on the basis of mineral water extracted from the Carpathian reserve “Eastern Beskydy”.

The source is located at an altitude of more than 1000 meters and has a unique mild taste. Water does not require additional treatment and filtration.

Briefly about the history of the brand

The name “Morosha” is borrowed from the Carpathian term meaning “mountains smoke”. So the Hutsuls call the evaporation of moisture in the forest, which in its structure resembles fog.

This brand has been on the market since 2011 by the Global Spirits holding, founded in 2008.

Morosha is produced in three countries: Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. Most of the production falls on the Hetman Lviv Distillery, which is also owned by the Global Spirits holding.

In Russia, vodka is produced by the Distillery “Russian North”. Here, the basis for an alcoholic drink is water extracted from natural sources of Karelia.

The Belarusian plant of UniAlcoGroup produces “Morosha” from mineral springs of national reserves and protected areas.

Moroshi production features

The uniqueness of the brand’s recipe, in addition to natural table water, lies in the alcohol of the “Lux” class.

Unlike other manufacturers of an alcoholic product, alcohol is selected under water, and not vice versa.

“MOROSHA”: the origin of the brand.

Grain alcohol is purchased exclusively from Western producers in Ukraine and is carefully controlled.

Infusions and flavors for vodka are produced at the Hetman distillery from Carpathian herbs, in particular medicinal verbena.

A distinctive feature of the brand is the design of the bottle in the form of a drop of transparent glass and a T-shaped Italian cork.

Moroshi’s bottle design was developed by London Brand Consulting.
