Vodka Medved: history, overview of species + interesting facts

Medved is a premium segment vodka with a true Russian name. Thanks to the softness and strength inherent in real Russian vodka, this alcohol is popular not only in the country, but also abroad.

The original recipe allowed the brand to come out on top in the popularity and quality ratings, and the equally outstanding shape of the bottle attracts attention at first sight. The logo printed on the front side of the vessel is especially memorable.

Brand history and production specifics

Vodka “Medved” traces its history back to 2002: it was then that Trading House Medved LLC acquired the finally bankrupt Pronsky distillery, which is located in the Tula region.

The re-equipment of the plant lasted about 24 months, after which (in 2004) a new premium segment vodka entered the market: Medved. The plant was modernized: the latest equipment made it possible to switch to full automation of the process, which increased not only production capacity, but also product quality.

The year 2014 in the history of the plant was marked by a new reconstruction: the enterprise underwent another transformation, which increased the capacity from 1.4 million decaliters to 6 million decaliters per year. In order to load the lines with the required volume, the company’s management even decided to bottle third-party vodka brands on the territory of the site.

Today, vodka is produced by InvestPartner LLC.

Types of vodka Medved

Like some other premium vodkas, there are only a few types in the Medved line, which will be discussed below.

  1. Bear

Vodka with a strength of 40 degrees, perfectly transparent. Only “Lux” class alcohol is used as a raw material.

It is especially distinguished by pronounced honey shades, there is a vanilla aftertaste.

Alcohol will make a great addition to first courses, as well as fish and seafood.

  2. Bear Ice Claw

This vodka is truly special, even in a premium line.

The absence of any vodka flavors, fusel oils, and other impurities allow you to feel the full depth and softness of grain alcohol.

The most delicate honey aftertaste is complemented by the aromas of meadow herbs. Alcohol is the perfect complement to cold cuts or game roasts.

  3. Bear Gold

Another variation of a premium product. This vodka, as well as others in the line, is made from “luxury” alcohol.

Cereal notes slip in the aroma, the delicate taste of lemon balm sets off a soft oat aftertaste.

Served with traditional Russian dishes or savory snacks.

  4. Bear Platinum

The taste of vodka is much softer than other brands, since in its manufacture, in addition to luxury alcohol and purified water, peppermint is used.

Pleasantly cooling with every sip, mint is brightened up with a honey aftertaste.

Served chilled with meat or dishes with mushrooms.

Interesting Facts
