Vivomixx – properties

Vivomixx is a dietary supplement that is a probiotic, i.e. a preparation consisting of live microorganisms that are necessary to maintain the balance of the bacterial flora of the human digestive system. The properties of Vivomixx are based on the probiotic effect of its ingredients, which restore the proper composition of the intestinal bacterial microflora.

Vivomixx probiotic contains eight strains of freeze-dried live bacteria cultures:

1. Lactobacillus paracasei;
2. Lactobacillus plants;
3. Lactobacillus acidophilus;
4. Lactobacillus delbrueckii subspecies bulgaricus;
5. Bifidobacterium longum;
6. Bifidobacterium infantil;
7. Bifidobacterium brevis;
8. Streptococcus thermophilus.

Probiotic is available on the market in the form of powder, capsules and drops.

Vivomixx – probiotic in sachets

The dietary supplement Vivomixx comes in the form of powder for oral suspension and in this form it is intended for adults and children from 3 years of age. This type of probiotic Vivomixx comes in variants:

1. Vivomixx sachets 225 – one sachet contains 225 billion (2,25 × 10¹¹) colony forming units of live bacterial cultures;
2. Vivomixx sachets 450 – one sachet contains 450 billion (4,5 × 10¹¹) colony forming units of live bacterial cultures.

The method of preparing the Vivomixx probiotic consists in dissolving the contents of the sachets in lukewarm water or lukewarm milk, juice or yoghurt. The powder is not intended to be dissolved in hot or carbonated liquids. The dietary supplement should be consumed immediately after preparation. Recommended Vivomixx dosage is 1-2 sachets a day.

Vivomixx sachets storage

Vivomixx should be stored in a refrigerator (temperature 2 to 8 degrees C) in the original packaging to protect it from light and moisture. It is possible to short-term – no longer than 7 days – storage of the probiotic at a temperature of up to 25 degrees Celsius without such conditions adversely affecting its properties. When you stop using the supplement, get rid of its residues.

Vivomixx – probiotic in capsules

Another available form of the probiotic Vivomixx are capsules, which can be consumed at the recommended dose of 1 to 4 capsules a day. Do not exceed the recommended serving size or use the supplement as a substitute for a varied diet. You can choose between capsules Vivomixx 112 and Vivomixx micro.

Vivomixx capsules 112. Suitable for babies, children and adults. It is a dietary supplement in hard capsules containing a lyophilisate of live cultures of probiotic bacteria (112 billion colony-forming units per capsule); the package contains 10 capsules, 0,676 g each.

Vivomixx 112 is used in infants and children up to 3 years of age by opening the capsule and dissolving its contents in a warm liquid. After opening, older children and adults can take the contents of the capsule directly or with lukewarm liquid, and also consume the entire capsule by swallowing it and washing it down with warm water or other non-carbonated liquid (also yogurt, milk or juice). The prepared supplement should be consumed immediately.

Vivomixx micro. The capsules can be taken by adults and children over 3 years of age. This product is a dietary supplement in hard microcapsules containing a lyophilisate of live cultures of probiotic bacteria (10 billion colony forming units per capsule). The package contains 30 microcapsules, 0,1 g each.

I propose two ways of administering Vivomixx micro adults and children after 3 years of age. You can open the probiotic capsule and consume its contents, or dissolve the contents in a warm liquid first. The second option is to swallow the microcapsule and wash it down with lukewarm water, milk, juice or yogurt. Do not take the probiotic with hot drinks or carbonated liquids.

Storage of Vivomixx capsules

Vivomixx capsules should be stored according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Vivomixx 112 should be stored in the refrigerator (2–8 degrees C), and if necessary, up to 7 days, it can be stored at a temperature of up to 25 degrees C. In the case of Vivomixx 10 billion microcapsules, it is recommended to store the product in its original packaging, away from light and moisture, at a temperature not higher than 25 degrees C.

Vivomixx – probiotic in drops

Vivomixx in the drops is supplement for newborns, infants and young children. The product is in the form of a powder intended for the preparation of an oral suspension, which is then administered in drops. The content of live bacteria cultures in 10 drops of probiotic is 5 billion cfu. For infants and children, the recommended daily dose of Vivomixx drops is between 10 and 20.

The indication for the use of the probiotic Vivomixx in drops is too low colonization of the digestive tract of a small child, infant or newborn by probiotic bacteria. The preparation is recommended in the first days of life, also in the case of premature babies. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

How to use Vivomixx in the drops? An oral suspension must be prepared before use. By using a special ring and turning it clockwise, the content of the cap (powder) is released, which goes to the oil in the bottle. Tap on the cap, then unscrew it and check that all the powder has come out of it. The next step is to replace the cap with the dropper and shake the bottle several times to obtain a homogeneous suspension. The prepared preparation is administered in an appropriate dose directly into the oral cavity or the measured portion is first dissolved in a warm liquid.

Vivomixx drops storage

Vivomixx probiotic drops should be stored in a refrigerator at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. The bottle should be in an upright position and away from light and heat sources. Keep out of the reach of children. It is permissible to leave the probiotic at a temperature of up to 25 degrees C for no longer than 7 days.

Vivomixx – contraindications and warnings

Vivomixx supplement should not be used when a person is allergic to any ingredient of the preparation. The product cannot replace a varied diet, and the daily doses given in the leaflet should not be exceeded.
