Vitella Ictamo – composition and action

Vitella Ictamo is a cream used as a cosmetic for irritated skin and skin with problems. Vitella Ictamo cream was composed on the basis of two ingredients:

  1. Ichthyol light 3% – ichthyol is a component of many ointments used for skin care. Dark ichthyol is used much more often in ointments or creams, which despite its properties, discouraged patients with its resin-oil scent and dark brown color. Light ichthyol is not only lighter than dark ichthyol. It also has a stronger antifungal and antipruritic effect. Like dark ichthyol, light ichthyol is a compound that has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Ichthyol pale normalizes the process of exfoliation of the epidermis and promotes regeneration processes. The properties of light ichthyol are often compared to those of coal tar, i.e. tar.
  2. Zinc oxide 10% – is one of the main ingredients of cosmetic products. Zinc oxide is obtained by roasting zinc sulphide or zinc carbonate in the presence of air. Zinc oxide is a white, odorless powder with a delicate texture. Cosmetics with zinc oxide in the composition regulate the amount of produced sebum. They facilitate cleansing the skin, exfoliate it and restore its proper pH. Preparations with zinc oxide accelerate the regeneration of damaged tissues and reduce pimples. Creams with zinc oxide are characterized by high density, which makes them difficult to massage into the skin.

Vitella Ictamo – indications for use

The indication for the use of Vitella Ictamo cream is the care of dry and irritated skin. Vitella Ictamo can be used as an adjunct in the treatment of such diseases as: rosacea, perimolar keratosis, seborrhea, atopic dermatitis, perioral dermatitis or white dandruff. Vitella Ictamo will also work well as a soothing cream in the case of facial skin irritation during frequent tearing or persistent runny nose. A contraindication to the use of Vitella Ictamo cream is hypersensitivity to ichthyol pale or zinc oxide or any other substance in the preparation.

Vitella Ictamo – correct use

In order for the use of Vitella Ictamo cream to bring the expected benefits, it should be used relatively often. Due to the content of zinc and light ichthyol, the preparation may slightly lighten the natural color of the skin. It is recommended that Vitella Ictamo cream be used for eight to ten weeks.

Before use, read the leaflet, which contains indications, contraindications, data on side effects and dosage as well as information on the use of the medicinal product, or consult your doctor or pharmacist, as each drug used improperly is a threat to your life or health.
