Dosage

Vitaminum E Medana (100 mg) is in the form of capsules to be taken orally. Individual dosage depending on the indication and clinical condition of the patient.

  1. Adults usually 200-300 mg / day.
  2. Children after 8 years of age usually 100 mg / day.
  3. In children under 8 years of age, vitamin E should be administered in the form of an oral fluid.

  1. Vitamin E may have an antagonistic effect on vitamin K, may increase the effect of oral anticoagulants (coumarin and indandion derivatives) and increase the risk of haemorrhage.
  2. Iron preparations can weaken the effect of vitamin E, so these drugs should be taken several hours apart.
  3. Cholestyramine and colestipol may reduce the absorption of vitamin E.
  4. Vitamin E can increase the absorption, storage and use of vitamin A.
