6. in malabsorption disorders (diarrhea, intestinal ulceration or colitis),
7. in the case of abnormal condition of the connective tissue – in the breaking of capillaries,
8. as an auxiliary during iron replacement therapy to facilitate its absorption.

Drug dosage

The preparation is in the form of tablets to be taken orally. Therapeutic dosage should be determined individually.

2. Plasma vitamin C levels are reduced by high doses of acetylsalicylic acid.
3. Vitamin C in high doses may have an influence on some laboratory test results (e.g. blood or urine glucose (sugar) or creatinine levels).
4. Ascorbic acid in therapeutic doses may cause false negative results in faecal occult blood tests.
