Vitaminum B1 is a preparation supplementing vitamin B1 deficiencies. It is used in family medicine, diabetology and neurology. Vitaminum B1 is available in tablet form and dispensed without a prescription.

Indications for the use of Vitaminum B1 (vitamin B1)
The preparation Vitaminum B1 (vitamin B1) is administered:
- preventively in the formation of vitamin deficiencies. B1 – dosage: adults, orally 3-9 mg / d;
- in states of vitamin deficiency B1 and disorders of the nervous system, heart muscle and skeletal muscles – dosage: adults, orally 25-50 mg / d;
- supportive in alcoholism – dosage: adults, orally 50 mg / d 2 times / week.
Vitaminum B1 (vitamin B1) – contraindications and warnings
A contraindication to the use of Vitaminum B1 (vitamin B1) is hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
Vitaminum B1 (vitamin B1) – warnings: The preparation contains lactose. It should not be used by people with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the lactase deficiency or malabsorption of glucose-galactose.
Vitaminum B1 (vitamin B1) – with other drugs:
- Antacids, as well as alcohol and tea, reduce the absorption of vitamin B1.
- Administration of vitamin B1 in one solution with sulphites causes its decomposition and inactivation.
- Some other vitamins, such as cyanocobalamin, may become inactivated when vitamin B1 is used concomitantly.
- The preparation Vitaminum B1 (vitamin B1) can be used during pregnancy after consulting a doctor.
Vitaminum B1 (vitamin B1) – side effects:
There are no side effects when using the dosage indicated. Vitamin B1 administered in very high doses may cause symptoms of hypersensitivity (anaphylactic shock).
