Vitamin E (its other name is tocopherol) is important for the correction and prevention of myopia. This is due to the fact that it is this vitamin that protects the retina from detachment.
Vitamin D saturates the eyes with calcium, which is why it also has a second name, calciferol. This phytamine is especially good for myopia, as it contributes to the correct contraction of the eye muscles.
Ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, helps to strengthen the walls of blood vessels. This means that the eye is more active and better saturated with oxygen, as a result of which the nervous tension of the muscles decreases. Therefore, vitamin C is an excellent prevention of cataracts and an excellent remedy for relieving eye fatigue.
B vitamins have a complex effect on the eye. So, vitamin B1 (thiamine) helps to normalize the transmission of nerve impulses in the eyes. In addition, it significantly reduces intraocular pressure. The result of a lack of such a vitamin can easily become glaucoma. Vitamin B2 protects the retina from the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation. The use of vitamin B3 improves the blood supply to the eye. This happens by lowering cholesterol, which clogs blood vessels. As a result, vitamin B3 is very actively and productively used even in the treatment of glaucoma. Vitamin B6 is responsible for the condition of the nerves of the eye. It is even able to relieve inflammation from the nerve. Almost the same functions are performed by B12, which is also actively used to treat glaucoma.
