In preparations available in pharmacies, it is usually combined with vitamin A, because it prevents its oxidation. Vitamin E also has a normalizing effect on blood glucose levels, as it improves insulin levels. It also supports the proper functioning of eyesight, may reduce the incidence of prostate cancer in smokers and liver cancer.

It is especially needed during pregnancy, because it supports its maintenance and is co-responsible for the proper development of the fetus. It prevents neural tube defects. Lack of vitamin E can cause fertility problems in men. If it is not enough, in the process of sperm formation, there may be mainly those of low quality, with low mobility or without flagella.
