Vitamin A ointment – application

The ointment has skin nourishing properties, it forms a kind regulator of renewal of damaged skin cells. It stimulates the growth of the number of new blood vessels in the skin, protects it and leaves it feeling smooth and soft. The preparation should be used according to the doctor’s recommendations or the information contained in the leaflet. The affected areas should be spread with a thin layer of ointment. It is recommended to repeat the activity several times a day.

Vitamin A ointment – contraindications to use

According to the leaflet, the ointment with vitamin A. cannot be used in the case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any other component of the preparation (i.e. anhydrous lanolin, white petrolatum). The ointment should not be applied to the mucous membranes.

Warnings for the use of Vitamin A ointments:

  1. due to the lanolin content, the drug may cause local skin reactions,
  2. vitamin A in high doses may damage the fetus,
  3. ointments should not be applied to wounds and mucous membranes,
  4. protect your eyes from contact with the preparation,
  5. in the event of swallowing the drug, consult a doctor,
  6. It is not recommended to use a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose.
