There is a widespread belief that summer is not the season for viral infections. Is it really? Is the summer period really safe? Do I need to take measures (and what) to protect the body? We decided to investigate this issue!
Such a concept as “seasonal ARVI” really exists … However, it does not cover all viral infections that can be encountered during the year. Seasonal outbreaks tend to occur in the fall and early spring and are more characteristic of influenza and those types of respiratory viruses that are afraid of high temperatures. In general, most viruses just feel great in the off-season.
However, there are many other viral infections that do not have pronounced seasonal fluctuations and do not particularly depend on the temperature outside the window. Measles, chickenpox, rotaviruses (in the latter, the conditional “season” begins in the summer) and other infections in the same way are transmitted by airborne droplets and enter the human body mainly through the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth at any time of the year.
And “ordinary” ARVI – colds, let’s be honest, do not completely disappear even in summer. Public transport, shops, offices with a closed air conditioning system, kids who continue to go to kindergarten … Unfortunately, the risks of picking up not only the most discussed, but also many other viral infections almost always persist – which means that even in summer it is worth remembering about competent preventive measures and virus protection.
Of course, these days it is not worth talking about the importance of wearing masks and gloves, social distancing rules and other measures that help reduce the risks of contracting viral infections. They talk about it, literally, from every iron and vacuum cleaner.
Just in case, we remind you that in addition to the generally accepted recommendations, it is always good to follow the classic advice:
often ventilate rooms, especially office ones (remember that air conditioners do not take fresh air from the street, but drive the available air in a circle);
spend more time outdoors, while avoiding close contact with other people;
maintain physical activity, but not overwork and monitor the level of daily stress
wash your hands more often, rinse your nose and take a shower when you return from public places.
How can you help yourself additionally?
There are times when,
Derinat is approved for use even in children from the first day of life and is suitable not only for prevention, but also for the treatment of various viral infections. It helps not to get sick, and if the disease does occur, then transfer it in a mild form, and also reduces the risk of secondary bacterial complications.
Such an integrated approach to virus protection is quite useful at any time of the year!
