While our kitchens are overgrown with super new appliances and accessories, old utensils can be turned into stunning retro-styled furnishings.
The artist Gilles Eichenbaum, who named his collection “Garbage”, is a perfect example for all of us. Obsolete teapots, aluminum colanders, basins and prehistoric toasters are transformed in his hands into original lamps. It is enough to turn a familiar thing upside down, to make a bunch of holes in it, and now it is ready to appear before us, literally, in a new light. Once – and the crazy lampshade is ready! The value of such vintage items is that they not only cheer up, but also easily create the very coziness that we all dream of so much.
