Village (“Derevenka”)

The design of the Saransky distillery brand emphasizes that the drink belongs to the elements of Russian culture: on the glass there is a relief pattern in the style of Mezen wood painting depicting outlandish animals and birds. The production technology also has a traditional Russian character: alcohol of the “alpha” class is obtained from the malt of Mordovian durum wheat at the factory malt house. The softness of taste and purity of the aroma of the drink is achieved by five-fold filtration through coal.

As part of the Derevenka brand, two lines are presented – “Solar” and “Winter”. Each of them has its own additives: in the “Winter” – pine nuts and juniper, in the “Solnechnaya” – natural honey, elderberry, berries.

About the manufacturer

The history of the Saransk distillery began with the state reform of the vodka industry at the end of the 350th century, which was headed by the Minister of Finance, Prince Witte. Then at the same time, XNUMX wineries were built throughout Russia according to a single project.

The winery was also built on the outskirts of Saransk. A warehouse was also built there. The production operated successfully until the October Revolution in 1917. And then during the riots it was looted. Most of the warehouse burned down along with the equipment and distillation department. The factory building was also damaged. All buildings were abandoned until the 30s of the last century.

Then the equipment was dismantled, and cosmetic repairs were made in the premises that had survived the fire. An evening school for youth was opened there – the Mordovian Workers’ Faculty. But the factory was not forgotten. The new government gave the factory an old merchant’s storehouse in the center of Saransk. The buildings, although dilapidated, were quite usable. The equipment was assembled, installed and production began.

Before the start of the Great Patriotic War, the plant worked at full capacity, producing Moscow Special, Zubrovka, kvass, tinctures. And when the war began, the plant produced 15 thousand liters of vodka per day to be sent to the front. Production did not stop in the war and post-war years. And in 1963, by government decree, a plant was created on the basis of the Saransk plant, adding 6 more small distilleries.

After the collapse of the USSR, the enterprise got out of state control and became a limited liability company “LVZ Saransky”. Buildings were reconstructed, equipment was modernized – today it is a modern plant, the products of which are in demand in Russia and abroad.
