PSYchology

Viktor Boyko, head of the School of Practical Yoga, has been practicing yoga for over 30 years. The purpose of his book is to present yoga to readers as the oldest system of self-development and communication of a person with his body, soul and world.

The author seeks to «describe the phenomenon of Indian yoga without deviating into religiosity or mysticism», presenting his own understanding of it and focusing the reader’s attention on the bodily practices of hatha yoga, which, ideologically, «is indifferent like a life-saving surgeon’s scalpel.» The book contains a course of exercises for beginners, designed for three years of self-study.
