Excel offers three workbook views: Normal, Page Layout, and Page Layout.
Normal
You can switch to normal mode at any time.
- On the Advanced tab View (view) click Normal (Normal) or select the icon of the same name in the status bar.
Note: If you switch to another view and then return to normal, Excel will display page breaks. To make them disappear, close and reopen the Excel file. In addition, you can permanently hide page breaks for the current book. To do this, click Fillet (File) > Options (Settings) > Advanced (Optional), scroll down to the section Display options (Sheet Display Options) and uncheck the option Show page breaks (Show pagination).
Page layout
Turn on the mode Page Layout (Page Layout) to see where the printed page starts and ends, or to add headers and footers.
- On the Advanced tab View (View) select Page Layout (Page Layout) or click on the icon of the same name in the status bar.
Note: By default, Excel prints down and then to the right. In other words, the program prints lines first for the first set of columns, then for the next set of columns, and so on. To have Excel print first to the right and then down, click Fillet (File) > Print (Print) > Page Setup (Page Setup) and on the tab Sheet (Sheet) select Over, then down (Right, then down).
Page mode
In page mode, you can clearly see where pages break when printing a document. Use this mode to widen or narrow the edges of printed pages.
- On the Advanced tab View (View) click Page Break Preview (Page mode) or click on the icon of the same name in the status bar.
Note: Pinch and drag the page break line to fit all the information on one page. Be careful, Excel doesn’t warn you when a printout becomes unreadable.
