Vidisept is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of conditions associated with dry eye syndrome, including dry keratoconjunctivitis. The active substances of this preparation are hypromellose and polyvidone. The drug is in the form of eye drops and is available over the counter at a pharmacy.

ACTION
Vidisept is a combined preparation containing a viscoelastic substance.
Vidisept – indications and dosage
Vidisept is recommended for the symptomatic treatment of symptoms associated with dry eye syndrome, including dry keratoconjunctivitis.
Dosage
- 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 5 × / d or more often if necessary.
Vidisept and contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation is a contraindication to the use of Vidisept.
Vidisept – warnings
- Do not touch the eyelids or other surfaces or objects with the tip of the dropper.
- If contact lenses are used, they should be removed before instillation of the eyes with Vidisept and reinserted no sooner than 15 minutes after instillation.
- It is not recommended to use Vidisept during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to the lack of data on the safety of its use (use of the preparation during this period only after consulting a doctor, when, in the doctor’s opinion, the benefit for the mother outweighs the potential risk for the child).
- People who experience blurred vision after using the preparation should not drive or operate motor vehicles.
- Vidisept is intended for long-term treatment, however, contact your doctor if eye irritation persists for a prolonged or persistent period.
- The preparation should be used within 6 weeks of opening the package.
Vidisept – interactions
In the case of using other ophthalmic drugs, the preparation should be instilled last, not earlier than 15 minutes after instillation of the previous drug.
Vidisept – side effects
Transient visual acuity disturbances may occur with the use of Vidisept. Very rarely: irritation or hypersensitivity reactions.
