Eight tips from a No Insurance participant for those looking to give up meat and try a raw food diet.

But I decided to go further and tried a raw food diet. Some people understand literally, they say, you need to eat everything raw, including meat. When I first hinted about this in society, some of my acquaintances exclaimed: “Are you out of your mind?” In fact, it is food in its raw form, but almost all of its vegetable origin.

1. Set a deadline

I have willpower. If I want something, I will definitely achieve it. First, I give myself a directive and set a deadline for when it should happen or, as in this case, how long it will last. Never say “for life”, it is more difficult for the brain to accept, indicate the number of weeks, months, years. I was a raw foodist for six weeks, did not allow myself any indulgences. Wonderful experience.

2. Meatless salads can be satisfying

Many people think that a raw food diet involves a poor meal. Not true. Consider if you have enough seeds in your diet. But this is the rudiment of life, you can germinate grains and make hearty salads from them without adding meat and even soy. Today soybeans are dangerous: demand for it has increased, and producers began to sell genetically modified ones. Therefore, I recommend buying in special bioshops.

3. The skin is unrecognizable

At first, reading or watching the video of Victoria Butenko (she has been practicing a raw food diet for many years), she was surprised that she allegedly cured a lot of illnesses from her husband and child. One of them, for example, was asthma. Believe it or not, but on the fifth day my back pains, which had been tormenting me for a year, disappeared. Incredible. And one more thing: when you give up meat, your skin changes. All of us women care about our appearance. They say that if you are a raw foodist for four months, you simply do not recognize yourself. But, again, we are talking about a balanced diet, when the diet contains all the trace elements necessary for the body, and not just some salads.

4. Do not force loved ones to give up meat

Alexa (Victoria’s common-law husband. – Approx. “Antenna”) also tried to put on a raw food diet. His back hurt, and I suggested trying this type of food for a week or two. He lasted two days, and then, seeing me off at the airport, admitted: “I went to have steaks.” It is more difficult for my husband, but we do not strain each other. Everyone eats what they like. Although he said that little experience felt great. He suggested an option: a raw food diet five days a week and a couple of days – meat.

But my daughter does not agree to eat meat in any way. Previously, Angelina could still be fooled. She liked dumplings. Now he even refuses chicken, but eats fish. I let her listen to the body and do not force her. She’s not the only one. I notice most children her age don’t like meat. Hopefully, a new generation is coming to replace it, with a new consciousness.

5. A minute’s pleasure is not worth it

The only negative is that I have lost a lot of weight. Since she was slender by nature, having lost three kilograms, she looked completely unpresentable. I began to add fish to my diet, because with my work schedule and frequent travel, training for the project “Without insurance” I spend a lot of energy. The main thing is that I understood: I’ll hardly ever return to my previous diet. The body does not even accept chicken broth. If earlier it seemed that this is the healthiest food, now I cannot eat even a spoon. For six months, I almost never had the desire to give up everything and eat up from the belly. Once I was sitting in a restaurant with a friend, she ordered eel in sauce, and I realized that I really want this fish, because I love it so much. I thought: “I have been on a raw food diet for a week, I began to wake up earlier, more energy, any pain sensations disappeared, other taste buds opened, my consciousness changed …” And I came to the conclusion that the momentary pleasure is not worth it.

6. Empirically determined a balanced menu for the day

For breakfast, you can cook buckwheat if you keep its beneficial properties. Pour the cereal with water in the evening, by the morning it will swell – and you’re done. Just do not heat it up, during heat treatment of more than 40 degrees, the beneficial properties of the products disappear. You can add nuts, just not fried. For those who love desserts, it is good to pour chia seeds (a kind of sage. – Approx. “Antenna”) with almond, coconut or rice milk, and do not regret it. Put the mixture in the refrigerator overnight and in the morning a gorgeous pudding is ready, which I recommend to eat with berries or agave syrup.

For lunch – salad. Combine spinach leaves, arugula, cherry tomatoes, avocado, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or sunflower seeds. Don’t put salt, sugar, just a little olive oil, an apple or a pear. You can sprout the grains yourself, add them to the salad, it’s unrealistically tasty.

For dinner – pumpkin soup. Take a regular pumpkin, cut into pieces and grind in a blender. It is ideal to use a cold press, because the screw in the juicer heats up and kills the beneficial micronutrients. Then add some pumpkin seeds and olive oil to the mixture – and the soup is ready.

7. Remember fruit

Don’t forget fruits and seeds, they can be eaten throughout the day if you feel hungry. Green apples are good. And note that the body does not require a lot of food on a raw food diet. On the second or third day, you will feel it. And everything turns out to be so delicious. The same cucumber!

8. Doesn’t it work? Rehearse!

Not ready to switch to a raw food diet completely, try 3-4 months prophylaxis. Feel free to experiment, if someone felt bad with this type of diet, it means that they were doing something wrong.
