Vicebrol is a drug used in neurology to treat cerebral circulation disorders. The preparation affects the central nervous system, alleviating the symptoms caused by cerebral ischemia. Vicebrol is also used as an adjunct in the treatment of visual and hearing disorders. The drug is available in tablet form and can only be obtained with a prescription.

Indications for the use of Vicebrol
The active ingredient of Vicebrol is vinpocetine – a drug that affects blood circulation in the brain. Vicebrol is given in:
- the treatment of chronic cerebral insufficiency (including post-ischemic stroke conditions) and vascular dementia;
- the alleviation of mental and neurological symptoms associated with cerebral circulatory failure;
- adjunctive treatment of chronic circulatory disorders in the choroid and retina, as well as vascular-related hearing disorders.
Dosage of Vicebrol:
Initially 10 mg three times a day, for maintenance treatment 5 mg three times a day. Maximum dose of the drug: 1 mg / kg body weight / day. The effect occurs after about a week of use, the maximum therapeutic effect is achieved within 3 months, and the improvement of the clinical condition after 6-12 months of treatment.
Vicebrol and contraindications
Contraindications to the use of Vicebrol are: hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation, acute ischemic heart disease, cardiac arrhythmias, CNS bleeding, pregnancy, and the period of breastfeeding. Do not use in children.
