– The earnings of laboratory diagnosticians are embarrassing. We are educated doctors, specialists in our fields. Almost 60-70 percent medical diagnoses are based on our research. Dr. Kłudkowska explained that it is becoming more and more difficult to encourage young people to remain in the profession of a laboratory diagnostician. There are many competitive industries and jobs they go to. – We do not eat our mission. This year, we did not receive any pay rises, and only a handful of diagnosticians received bonuses, so exposed by the Ministry of Health. There are strange situations when in cowid hospitals, if there are no laboratories to perform PCR tests, diagnosticians do not receive an additional supplement – she explained.

Dr. Kłudkowska also recalled the difficult situation in which representatives of the diagnostic industry found themselves in the spring of last year. – We had to organize the workshops from scratch. We fought over the reagents. Molecular test tips have become a luxury item. This year brought us many challenges, but our work by the Ministry of Health was not appreciated at all – she explained in an interview with Tomasz Sekielski.
