Viburcol compositum is a homeopathic medicinal product that contains a composition of active ingredients. Available in the form of rectal suppositories, it is intended for infants and children. The active substances are, among others: chamomile, nightshade, plantain, pasque-flower.

The active substances of Viburcol are:

  1. Chamomilla recutita D4, 
  2. Atropa bella-donna D4, 
  3. Plantago major D4, 
  4. Pulsatilla pratensis D4,
  5. Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni D8.

Viburcol compositum is a homeopathic medicinal product whose properties are related to the presence of active substances. It supports the states of anxiety in infants and young children.

Viburcol – indications

The Viburcol Compositum leaflet informs about the indications for use. These are primarily conditions with or without fever associated, among others, with With:

  1. painful teething,
  2. infantile colic,
  3. colds.

Viburcol – dosage

Viburcol compositum should be taken according to the information contained in the leaflet or according to the doctor’s instructions. Viburcol should be administered to the child rectally. This form of administration allows for the fastest absorption and action of the drug.

Viburcol suppository should be removed from the blister pack prior to use. Do not exceed the allowable dose of the drug.

Exemplary dosage of Viburcol:

  1. infants aged 3-6 months – as indicated by the doctor;
  2. infants under 12 months – 1 suppository daily;
  3. children 1-6 years old – 1-2 suppositories per day;
  4. children 6-12 years old – 1-3 suppositories per day;
  5. children over 12 years of age – 1-4 suppositories a day.

Viburcol – precautions

Some caution should be exercised when using Viburcol in infants and consult a physicianif you develop shortness of breath, fever, sputum with pus or traces of blood. An indication for consultation with a doctor is also abdominal pain that occurs for no apparent reason. It is then necessary to establish the cause of these ailments, which may be symptoms of other diseases.

Viburcol should be stored at a temperature lower than 25 degrees Celsius, because higher temperatures quickly soften the suppositories and even dissolve them completely. Keep Viburcol suppositories out of the reach of children.

Before taking any medications during pregnancy or breastfeeding, it is necessary to consult a doctor or pharmacist. The manufacturer does not recommend the use of Viburcol suppositories during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
