Vesicare – indications, dosage, price

Vesicare is used for symptomatic treatment of urgency, urinary incontinence, and urgency which can occur in patients with overactive bladder syndrome.

Indications

Vesicare is an oral tablet formulation designed to treat the symptoms of an overactive bladder. It treats the problems associated with these symptoms and also increases the capacity of the bladder so that it holds more urine.

Leaflet

It contains solifenacin succinate, which is available in two doses: 5 mg and 10 mg. The tablets contain the active ingredient solifenacin succinate, which belongs to the group of antimuscarinic agents. The substance blocks the receptors responsible for muscle contraction in the bladder wall. As a result of their relaxation, the bladder acquires the ability to accumulate more urine, which reduces the need to urinate too often. In addition, the agent prevents sudden contractions of the bladder muscles, reducing the likelihood of involuntary leakage of urine.

Dosage

Orally. The dose and frequency of taking the preparation is determined by the doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with liquid, take them with or without food. Vesicare is an orally administered drug that relieves any symptoms of overactive bladder and therefore urinary incontinence. It works by increasing the capacity of the bladder, which in turn reduces too much pressure on the urethra, and also prevents uncontrolled leakage. If you want to get good results, use this preparation, taking 1 tablet once every day. Start with 5 mg. There are times, however, when a higher dose is allowed, but should be consulted with a specialist. Take one tablet a day with plenty of water. Two tablets should not be used, even if you forget to take the medicine.

Other problems that prevent us from taking this drug, as it may have a negative impact on our health, are: serious gastrointestinal problems, liver dysfunction, kidney disease, glaucoma, myasthenia gravis. The drug should also not be used by children, pregnant and breastfeeding women.
