Vertical leg press — technique exercises:

  1. Place the neck in the Smith machine a few feet from the ground. Set the appropriate weight and lie on the floor under the barbell. Press your feet into the Griffon, the knees should be pressed against your chest, feet shoulder width apart. This will be your initial position.
  2. Start the movement, straightening the legs and pushing the bar up. Straighten legs to end at the top of the movement the knees should be slightly bent, this will protect the knee from possible injuries.
  3. Pausing for a second at the top, return to the starting position.
