The City Council of La Seca and the municipality’s tourism and viticultural promotion entity, SECAVER, organize once again the Verdejo Festival, This time in its seventh edition, it will compete to reward the participating wineries and their wines and will promote conferences and events such as:
- Sarmiento Award for the best Verdejo wine of the D.O. Rueda,
- Study Day of Verdejo, Toro del Sarmiento and Toro del Verdejo,
- Wine Fair,
- Sarmiento Folk Rock,
- exhibitions and much more throughout the next 9, 11, 12 and 13 April.
Verdejo is the characteristic wine of the Rueda Denomination of Origin, having a great acceptance in recent years, strengthening its image in the peninsula and abroad thanks to its excellent quality and the result of this has been its constant growth in sales. of the products of the different wineries attached to the DO
It is a white wine with a characteristic flavor that provides aroma and freshness in the mouth and that does not disappoint those who taste it.
Throughout the days of the fair you can taste all kinds of wines made from grapes Verdejo, as well as its varieties such as barrel-fermented, sparkling, sweet and semi-sweet on the days of the event in the Valladolid town of La Seca.
