Kerrymaid Celebrates the Launch of Its Vegan Slices with Vegan Tips for the Catering and Hospitality Industries

Last May, the virtual event “Up Your Vegan Game” took place, and the Kerrymaid company shared key information on plant-based consumption, as well as the trends and opportunities this presents for foodservice.

The event was held to celebrate the launch of Perfect Melt Vegan Slices, a vegan alternative to cheese, intended only for professional kitchens.

David Cullen, CEO of Opinions Market Research, revealed:

The market for herbal products will be worth € 8 billion by 2027, an increase of 5,9% over 2019

More and more consumers are looking for vegan options, and this new product allows the catering and hospitality industries, as well as catering, fast food and entertainment, to offer their customers a tasty alternative to dairy cheese.

The product adapts to what consumers are looking for now: Better taste, texture and a wider range. These are the top three interests, and they are also the reasons why consumers are not currently using vegan cheese.

A slices that look, taste and melt like the best cheese

Vegan slices is the first vegan (sliced) product designed for the catering industry that tastes, looks and melts like yellow (dairy-based) processed cheese.

Made with fair trade coconut oil, the vegan slices do not contain gluten or palm oil, and are certified vegan by the Vegetarian Society (UK).

The product was specially designed for use in hot applications such as burgers, paninis, wraps and sandwichess. Easy to take off and handle in various settings such as hospitality establishments such as cafes, bars, restaurants and fast food.

A perfect complement to the elaboration of classic veal burgers, vegan chicken or any solution that a professional chef can think of.

The product will be available in Europe, in packs of 56 easy-to-peel and use slices.

With over 30 years of dairy experience, Kerrymaid has created a wide range of tasty products that work perfectly in a professional kitchen.

Understanding that dairy products are not always an easy ingredient to use in kitchens, they have refined their products using unique techniques. The result: ingredients and products appreciated by chefs and consumers alike.
