Vasomotor headaches, unlike migraine headaches, do not resemble pulsation because the abnormalities appear in small blood vessels, while in migraine – they are located in larger arterial ramifications. Headaches can be the result of a stressful situation or trouble sleeping.

Vasomotor headache and its symptoms

Angioedema is an ordinary headache that a person can feel, for example, in a stressful situation or after a sleepless night.

The symptoms are sometimes accompanied by:

  1. nausea,
  2. the feeling of “flashes in front of the eyes”.

Angioedema pain is usually localized around the forehead, eye or behind the eye; often it affects the temples or the entire layer of the skull. The nature and intensity of pain are quite variable, but due to the long duration and impact on the psyche, they are quite burdensome. It should be noted that in this type of pain there are various transient forms (up to the actual migraine).

Diagnosis and treatment of vasomotor headache

A specialist should identify the cause of vasomotor headaches. Important! Headache tablets should not be taken continuously as they poison the body and especially damage the bone marrow, liver and kidneys.

Treatment of vasomotor headaches consists in their prevention with the following methods:

  1. the patient should take up light work,
  2. going to bed earlier and using light sedatives works well;
  3. a patient with hypotension should drink black coffee;
  4. it is recommended to lie down for a short time with the head on the level with the torso or lower;
  5. you should take care of a regular and healthy lifestyle and an adequate amount of sleep;
  6. remember to have regular bowel movements;
  7. in people with normal blood pressure, one tablet of the painkiller can be administered at a time.
