Unfortunately, it is not easy to protect yourself from being bitten by a tick, and the consequences can be very serious. That is why more and more people are looking for other ways. This vaccine should therefore be treated as an investment in our own health.
The price of the vaccine “against ticks” varies depending on the city and point of vaccination. One dose can cost from 70 to 130 zlotys, but vaccination with ticks is usually cheaper for a child.

The vaccine “against ticks” has a form inactivated vaccine against tick-borne encephalitis. The vaccine is given in 3 doses.
The best time to vaccinate is in winter or the beginning of spring, so that protection works when ticks are most active (April-October). It is also worth emphasizing that the vaccine does not provide continuous protection, therefore a booster vaccine should be given every 3-5 years.

People who live in areas where the highest number of cases have been reported should also decide to vaccinate. The tick vaccine is therefore mainly intended for:
- people who cultivate plants or raise animals,
- forest workers,
- owners of recreational plots,
- fire and border guards,
- forest inhabitants, tourists and mushroom pickers.

Vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis is scheduled independently. They can be performed in health care or private clinics. The specimen is not always in stock. In such a situation, the doctor issues a prescription, with which the patient has to go to the pharmacy to buy the vaccine himself.
