- Registration for vaccinations for people over 60 years old. How to apply?
In December last year, a letter was sent to the soldiers, in which the Department of Personnel of the Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the Polish Army is considered a sensitive institution on which to a large extent depends effective counteracting the effects of the epidemic. Therefore, in addition to the information campaign targeted at soldiers, the ministry created a system of incentives aimed at persuading the largest possible group of military personnel to vaccinate.
The letter informed, inter alia, on the decision that only soldiers vaccinated against COVID-19 will be qualified for specialist, officer and NCO courses. The ministry also emphasized that vaccination before leaving for missions is a standard activity in the Polish Armed Forces and this requirement will also apply to vaccination against COVID-19.
The Ministry of National Defense also emphasized that soldiers who decide to vaccinate “show responsibility and minimize the risk of infecting others, therefore it was decided to develop guidelines that would take into account the fact of vaccination when preparing the soldier’s official opinion”. The ministry made a reservation that failure to vaccinate against COVID-19 will not lower the soldier’s rating.
So far, the Ministry of National Defense has launched 36 military medical entities, where civilians are vaccinated against Covid-19. These are i.a. hospitals in Szczecin, Bydgoszcz, Wrocław, Kraków and Lublin and the hospital of the Military Medical Institute in Warsaw, at ul. Szaserów.
